Event Notification: Costume Guidelines

Dear Participants,

As we gear up for our exciting event at Rowan University Campus, we want to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone. Please be aware of the following costume guidelines:

Prohibited Items:

• Weapons of any kind (e.g., firearms, swords, knives)

• Paintball guns, air rifles, BB guns, slingshots, arrows

• Any other sporting equipment, toy, or device which may cause injury or which a reasonable person may believe is a weapon

These items are prohibited on campus for safety reasons.

Allowed Items:
 

• Cartoon-style props: Props that are clearly made of non-dangerous materials such as foam or plastic and are exaggerated in design, often brightly colored and oversized, to clearly distinguish them from real weapons.

 

Additional Guidelines:

 

• Costumes with excessive glitter will not be permitted.

To ensure compliance with these guidelines, we will have a check-in process at the event. Please have your props inspected by the event host upon arrival to avoid any issues. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines will not be granted access to the event.
